Welcome to The Stokesley Pride in our Town Association

Aiming to encourage and sustain a sense of pride in Stokesley

Stokesley is a pleasant market town of around five thousand people, about three miles north of the North York Moors, and about 12 miles from the North Sea. It has many connections with farming, with a monthly farmer's market taking place on the first Saturday of each month. You can find out more about Stokesley here.

The Objects of The Stokesley Pride in our Town Association are:

  • To initiate events or projects for the benefit of the people of the community.
  • To initiate events or projects for the benefit of the physical environment of the town.
  • To encourage organisations and townsfolk to participate in the activities of the Association.
  • To liaise with statutory authorities, civic organisations and voluntary bodies in whatever way necessary to advance the aims of the Association.
  • To encourage and assist, wherever necessary, organisations or people to take over events or projects initiated by the Association when and wherever their aptitudes are particularly appropriate.

Awards

The Newcastle Building Society Cornerstone Award
Newcastle Building Society awarded their Cornerstone Award to SPIOTA, to celebrate their work in maintaining the excellent floral displays in Stokesley, and in particular the project to install the new ziggurat, which was opened on the day of the Jubilee in 2012.
